When ready to let your fan do all the work, simply replace the vent nearest the side of your coals with the adapter. 
Compatible with:
Thermoworks universal adapter (not included) pictured. Remove rubber ring and that is it- simply plug in the front.
Or use a 1” ball valve adapter, such as a Fireboard G3 as shown in photo.
